August Fair Fun!

Summer in Vermont wouldn't be complete without the excitement of our local fairs! With Chittenden, Franklin, and Addison counties boasting a vibrant fair scene throughout August, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Chittenden County
Champlain Valley Fair (Essex Junction, August 23-September 1):
The granddaddy of them all!  From thrilling rides and games to mouthwatering fair food and top-notch entertainment, this 10-day extravaganza is a must-visit. Don't miss the agricultural exhibits, demolition derby, and the nightly fireworks. About a 20 minute car-ride from The Loft at The High Meadows.

Franklin County
Franklin County Field Days (Highgate, August 9-11):
 A classic agricultural fair with a focus on local farming traditions.  Enjoy tractor pulls, livestock shows, horse competitions, and a midway filled with family-friendly fun.

Addison County Fair & Field Days (New Haven, August 6-10):  
A true community celebration!  With a packed schedule of events, including a parade, woodsmen's competition, demolition derby, and live music, there's never a dull moment. Be sure to try the famous maple creemees!
